It is that time of year where, for many of us, the nights get cool and there is a hint of crispness in the air. School is back in session, college football is in full swing, and in just a week or two we'll start to see all of the pumpkin patches open and the unmistakable smell of Chrysanthemums will abound. Fall is here!
As we are now 'officially' in fall (as of 9-22-2012), we have decided to highlight some of our more popular fall wholesale flowers. While there are some flowers that are decidedly more popular than others at this time of year, it is usually the reds, yellows, oranges and burgundy flowers which are in high demand:
Roses: Roses are wildly popular year-round. They come in many vivid colors and can be used in formal and casual arrangements alike.
Daisy Poms: Daisy Poms are in the Chrysanthemum family and are extremely popular fall flowers. Daisy Poms are EXTREMELY long lasting flowers and come in fun, cheerful colors - though the most popular color is plain white.
Sunflowers: Sunflowers are available year-round, but in our opinion they scream summer and fall. When paired with reds, yellows and oranges in arrangements they create the iconic 'fall' or 'autumn' look.
Solidago: As far as fillers go, Solidago takes the cake for fall wholesale flowers. Again, it is the popular pairing of reds, yellows and oranges in arrangements which produce the unmistakable 'fall' look.
Antique Hydrangea: The Antique Hydrangea gets its unique coloration from being left on the plant for an extended period of time. One way to put it is that these flowers are left on the plant past their prime. The wonderful coloration comes as the flower ages on the plant.
