Update: Ranunculus & Anemones

It has been a difficult end of spring / start to summer for Ranunculus and Anemones.

Last week's triple digit temperatures throughout California put a quick end to the current domestic production of Ranunculus and Anemones. A few farms have a VERY, VERY small production which is sporatic at best in just a few colors. Many of the farms have re-planted and expect to be back on track with production about mid-June.

Normally Europe would be in full swing with their production of Ranunculus and Anemones right now; however, an unusually early and warm spring caused their season to start (and end) almost 4 to 6 weeks earlier than normal!

After Europe's production, which typically goes strong through mid-June, Ecuadorian Ranunculus and Anemones become available. Ecuador is just beginning to produce very limited quantities of Ranunculus and Anemones, but their production will only increase as we get closer to mid-June.

In conclusion, Ranunculus and Anemones will be in short supply through about mid-June. We will continue to keep you posted as to their availability; however, if you do have questions, please do not hesitate to contact our sales department at 1-888-297-3000 or via email at sales@growersbox.com and we would be happy to assist you!
