Dear Grower’s Box -

I just wanted to email you and thank you for the glorious wedding flowers I received for my wedding (Hydrangea. Roses and Bells of Ireland). I spoke on the phone with your sales representatives when I placed my order and they were so helpful and informative. The Bells of Ireland and the Hydrangea perked up into lush blooms just as they had explained. From the one order I was able to make my bridal bouquet, 3 bridesmaids bouquets, various small pieces and 2 gorgeous centerpieces.

We had a very small ceremony on the beach at a location that was also hosting 2 very large, expensive weddings. One of the other brides (in full regalia) asked me who my florist had been since she was somewhat disappointed in her results. She was amazed that I had ordered the wedding flowers online and arranged them myself. One week after delivery the majority of flowers are still alive! Thank you so much! I will recommend you to anyone who will listen, and when my oldest daughter (22) is ready to wed, I plan to get all the flowers from The Growers Box!

I could not have been more pleased with the wedding flowers I received through The Grower’s Box.

I ordered 200 long stem roses and they arrived on time and were absolutely beautiful.

I was a bit nervous about ordering my wedding flowers online, but I could not have been more happy. I even had a friend make my bouquet out of some of the bulk roses.

The rest of the flowers went into vases all over the house where the reception was held.

FOOTBALL MUMS:

When one thinks of ‘Fall Flowers’ Chrysanthemums are one of the first wholesale flowers to come to mind. The smell of these flowers brings to mind the change of seasons, Halloween, and Thanksgiving. Wholesale Football Mums from The Grower’s Box are widely purchased for resale or for use as wedding flowers.

An interesting tidbit is that some claim that the name ‘Football Mum’ was derived from on of America’s favorite fall sports… FOOTBALL! For MANY years football fans have pinned these flowers to their jackets as it was believed that the flowers brought good luck to their home team. To this day football mums (also known as ‘homecoming mums) are widely popular in the Southwest (especially in Texas and Oklahoma).

These LARGE football mums are grown in California and are available in yellow, white, lavender, and bronze. The flower itself stands about 24” tall and the blooms measure about 4” to 4.5” in diameter (they will continue to open a little more once in water). These flowers are available in boxes of 50 stems, 100 stems, and 200 stems.

LARGE SUNFLOWERS:

Throughout the generations Sunflowers have stood for, and continue to stand for, loyalty and longevity. In ancient cultures these flowers were symbolic of the sun, and radiate the warmth and light produced therein.

These magnificent large Sunflowers are grown under the beautiful sunny skies of Southern California and stand well over 30” (usually around 36”) in overall height. The face on these large Sunflowers measures on average between 2.5” and 3” in diameter. Blooms are typically in excess of 6″ in outside diameter.

There are numerous varieties of large Sunflowers which range in both size and color. Look for these varieties coming soon:

- ‘Red’ Sunflowers
- ‘Sunbeam’ Sunflowers
- ‘Teddy’ Sunflowers

These flowers are available in boxes of 40 stems, 80 stems, and 160 stems, and can also be found in a number of our packages of wedding flowers.

FLOWER CARE TIP: Upon receipt of your Sunflowers, remove as much foliage as possible - leaving only the bare minimum that you desire on the stem for decoration. The leaves found on the stems of Sunflowers require a LOT of water and can prevent the necessary water from reaching the flower head. Removing these leaves will help water reach the flower head and will substantially increase the vase life of your Sunflowers.

Bulk flowers from The Grower’s Box really let you flex your creative muscles! Are you throwing a wedding or soiree and looking for that je ne sais quoi that will give your guests plenty to talk about? Then consider cutting the stems off of a big box of Gerbera Daisies and place flower heads on dining and coffee tables – and any other flat surface where you want to draw a little attention – repeat liberally throughout your event space. Couple them with some rose petals of a coordinating color for interest and texture. We even had one customer tack 100’s of Gerbera Daisy heads to a wall with sewing pins to create a “fresh” art display - VERY DRAMATIC!!! (We’re working on pictures of this for you).

These work great as wedding flowers where you sprinkle a few on each table top. Are you worried that your table centerpieces are going to cost too much, or will block the guest’s view of one another across the table? …then ditch the height, and supplant with flower heads laid low and flat on your tables - or perhaps paired with a few stems of a single flower variety in a vase.
