The Grower’s Box was thrilled to be able to help Sunflowers for Friends (a fundraiser that kids have put together in Wilmington, Vermont to assist those affected by the recent flooding).  A letter from one of the parents indicated that they had many friends that were left homeless and many friends that lost their  businesses.  The National Guard and American Red Cross have provided assistance since many of their roads were completely washed out.

The children in the valley, frustrated about not being able to assist in the cleanup (it was too dangerous as the soil, rubble and buildings were contaminated with heating oil and propane), painted their water bottles and sold sunflowers.  They have called their fund: Sunflowers for Friends.  They started selling sunflowers from a local farm until they were completely sold out.  When they realized the success of their fundraiser and needed more flowers, they called The Grower’s Box!

Our daughter’s wedding was this past Saturday.  I ordered 84 gerberas and 232 mini gerberas.  The flowers arrived on Wednesday, as scheduled in excellent condition.  We followed the instructions to care for them and chose to wire each one for added stability.  Being that we are from Hawaii, I felt a little nervous taking a chance of having them shipped from so far overseas, but we were so very pleased that they arrived in time and were beautiful.  We have never ordered flowers online, but are so glad we went through your company.  The colors were perfect and we received so many compliments at the wedding.  We used them for bouquets and centerpieces and the head table, along with locally purchased roses.  Thank you for such efficient service.  We were charged a small shipping fee due to our location, and with a coupon, ended up paying just a few dollars.  I will definitely be doing business with you again in the future.  Mahalo from Hawaii!

I just wanted to let you know that I ordered flowers from you (wedding in a box) for my daughter’s wedding. I was a little nervous as this was a site unseen (except for pictures) purchase. They were delivered (as promised ) on August 10^th , the wedding was on the 13^th. We followed all instructions as far as storing and “refreshing” after their long trip from Colombia. Today is the 17^th of August and they are still beautiful. The quality of the flowers was A-1. I would recommend your company to anyone. I was extremely happy with all aspects of my purchase. My daughter’s wedding was this weekend and everyone loved the flowers we got from you — especially my daughter. My friends and I had so much fun putting them together for centerpieces and bouquets. I especially want to thank your customer service for their immediate response to a very overwhelmed Mother of the Bride phone message that I left. I happen to be a counselor, and I had to laugh when I got off the phone — the customer service representatives not only helped me feel confident about the flower care, but talked in such a calm way that I felt more competent the rest of the day about the whole darn wedding! The customer service representative was polite and never hurried me as I asked what probably were questions that rang the bell on the ignorant scale!

I have given your website info to lots of others, including the manager of the golf course venue we used. She also said she has never seen any flowers (not done by florists) that looked even close to as nice as these.

People still talk about the flowers, and we do too! BTW, we incorporated pink carnations to add color for our theme colors, Tiffany blue and fuchsia.
