Meredith shares her wedding flowers review on Yelp!

The Grower’s Box thanks Meredith very much for so kindly sharing her wedding flowers story with us here and on Yelp! We love hearing about our customer’s experiences with wholesale flowers from The Grower’s Box!

I could not have been more pleased with the wedding flowers I received through The Grower’s Box.

I ordered 200 long stem roses and they arrived on time and were absolutely beautiful.

I was a bit nervous about ordering my wedding flowers online, but I could not have been more happy. I even had a friend make my bouquet out of some of the bulk roses.

The rest of the flowers went into vases all over the house where the reception was held.

I received compliment after compliment on the wedding flowers. I intend on telling everyone I know to order their flowers through The Grower’s Box for every occasion!

PETALS MAKE ROOM FOR OTHER FLOWERS: Success Through Excess

This is installment #3 in our bulk flowers series: “Success Through Excess”. The images that follow are again from our 2004 GrowersBox.com Launch Party.

Bulk flowers from The Grower’s Box really let you flex your creative muscles! Are you throwing a wedding or soiree and looking for that je ne sais quoi that will give your guests plenty to talk about? Then consider cutting the stems off of a big box of Gerbera Daisies and place flower heads on dining and coffee tables – and any other flat surface where you want to draw a little attention – repeat liberally throughout your event space. Couple them with some rose petals of a coordinating color for interest and texture. We even had one customer tack 100’s of Gerbera Daisy heads to a wall with sewing pins to create a “fresh” art display - VERY DRAMATIC!!! (We’re working on pictures of this for you).

These work great as wedding flowers where you sprinkle a few on each table top. Are you worried that your table centerpieces are going to cost too much, or will block the guest’s view of one another across the table? …then ditch the height, and supplant with flower heads laid low and flat on your tables - or perhaps paired with a few stems of a single flower variety in a vase.

PETALS, PETALS… PETALS: Success Through Excess

Fresh rose petals really should be used more often – and not just relegated to special occasions… (Champagne too!) Maybe it’s more a matter that we don’t celebrate often enough life events that should be recognized. Bulk flowers from The Grower’s Box make recognizing life events easy - especially our wedding flowers!

Wholesale rose petals should be added to each bulk wedding flower order – whether it’s one of our popular Wedding in–a-Box packages, or making your own wholesale flower selection. You will never have too many rose petals from The Grower’s Box. Sprinkle handfuls on each wedding reception table top, at the guest book table, around the wedding cake… and be sure to save a few handfuls to decorate the honeymoon bedroom! And if you still have left over fresh rose petals – go indulge and sprinkle outside of the wedding reception hall, or outside your own residence for some princess treatment on your very special wedding day!

Fresh rose petals (and all our bulk flower offerings) can be used for more than just weddings. Our bulk rose petals are very popular with event planners – and not only to save a few dollars – most florists simply can’t order in rose petals in the quantities we provide. Businesses small and large have many times ordered rose petals as well. They do so to celebrate store openings, mark the entrance to a big event, and otherwise show their clients the royal treatment.

Our very own launch party made good of our biggest fresh rose petal offering. This big box of bulk rose petals is enough to cover an entire city block! So get some rose petals – and sprinkle liberally… they make especially the perfect out door decorative item because they’re biodegradable.

FLOWER CENTER PIECES: Success Through Excess

This post is a continuation of ‘First Launch / Second Launch’ where Success Through Excess was introduced as a fresh flower design element. These photos were also taken at our original 2004 launch party in San Francisco.

Stumped as to how to make a dramatic statement with a fresh flower arrangement? Does a soaring ceiling or the scale of the event space where you’re throwing your soiree swallow even the biggest florist designed fresh flowers? That’s because you haven’t been designing flowers with The Grower’s Box as your bulk fresh flower supplier. Whether you buy flowers by the bunch or the truck load, The Grower’s Box can meet all your floral needs.

Here’s one such fresh hydrangea arrangement set up at the entrance to our first launch party. This is 2 of our big box of wholesale hydrangea flowers with stems cut at differing lengths and set helter-skelter in a very large glass bowl. Buy a big box of fresh hydrangea to add to one of our other Wedding in-a-Box packages, other flower offerings, or simply on its own for that special occasion.

You can get the glass bowl used in this shot at Pottery Barn here.

You can do similarly with 150-200 roses. Consider similarly arranging at scale fresh bi-color roses. Instead of a traditional green filler, or just roses on their own, place half a dozen flowers of a complimenting color to one of the secondary rose colors. You can see in the below our placing several red dahlias in with a very large vase of bi-color red/yellow roses. Plus you don’t have to keep rose heads on the roses! Where you have extra fresh roses, and for that additional something-something, lay a pile of rose heads at the base of an arrangement. And use several of the heads for the petals to further extend the fresh floral effect outside of the vase.

The vase you see in this shot is approx 7.5” diam x 15” height. While this is not available online anywhere, we hope to begin carrying a supplier of high quality flower vases we stumbled upon sourcing you the best in wholesale fresh flowers and online wedding flowers. Are you as tired of those paper-thin vases you end up with from those other online flower retailers? We are…
