FLOWER CENTER PIECES: Success Through Excess
This post is a continuation of ‘First Launch / Second Launch’ where Success Through Excess was introduced as a fresh flower design element. These photos were also taken at our original 2004 launch party in San Francisco.
Stumped as to how to make a dramatic statement with a fresh flower arrangement? Does a soaring ceiling or the scale of the event space where you’re throwing your soiree swallow even the biggest florist designed fresh flowers? That’s because you haven’t been designing flowers with The Grower’s Box as your bulk fresh flower supplier. Whether you buy flowers by the bunch or the truck load, The Grower’s Box can meet all your floral needs.
Here’s one such fresh hydrangea arrangement set up at the entrance to our first launch party. This is 2 of our big box of wholesale hydrangea flowers with stems cut at differing lengths and set helter-skelter in a very large glass bowl. Buy a big box of fresh hydrangea to add to one of our other Wedding in-a-Box packages, other flower offerings, or simply on its own for that special occasion.
You can get the glass bowl used in this shot at Pottery Barn here.
You can do similarly with 150-200 roses. Consider similarly arranging at scale fresh bi-color roses. Instead of a traditional green filler, or just roses on their own, place half a dozen flowers of a complimenting color to one of the secondary rose colors. Where you have extra fresh roses, and for that additional something-something, lay a pile of rose heads at the base of an arrangement. And use several of the heads for the petals to further extend the fresh floral effect outside of the vase.
The vase you see in this shot is approx 7.5” diam x 15” height. While this is not available online anywhere, we hope to begin carrying a supplier of high quality flower vases we stumbled upon sourcing you the best in wholesale fresh flowers and online wedding flowers. Are you as tired of those paper-thin vases you end up with from those other online flower retailers? We are…
