Heather is a relatively well known among the ranks of fresh cut wholesale flowers.  Heather is actually a flowering perennial shrub which has been used in many capacities and for many centuries. Heather is of the genus 'Calluna' which in the Greek language translates into 'to sweep'... and centuries ago Heather was often used as a broom.

Description: Heather is best characterized by its 'woody' stems and varying shades of purple clusters of 'bb-sized' flowers.  Heather stands about 14 to 24 inches in height, and each stem is unique in shape, coverage, and quantity of blooms.  Heather is packed in what is referred to as a 'grower's bunch'.  Each bunch is unique and consists of a 'fistful' of stems of varying shapes and sizes.

Availability: Heather is available from August through early May.
