The Kiss of Death is truly one of the more unique tropical flowers on the market. It can only be assumed that it received its name because of its 'weapon-like' appearance.
The Kiss of Death is truly a unique plant and for reasons unbeknownst to many, it is categorized as a tropical flower. It is about 20 inches in length and is best characterized by its red and brown coloration. The stem is void of leaves, and the head itself is solid and heavy... no soft delicate petals with this plant! Each stem weights in the vicinity of several pounds.

Tropical flowers and foliage are quite hardy and can last up to 2 weeks if cared for properly. Please find our tropical flower care guidelines posted below for your reference.
Please be advised that we do require all orders for the Kiss of Death to be placed at least 10 days prior to your desired delivery date.
We highly recommend customers schedule this package for delivery at least 3 days prior to their event. These tropical flowers and foliage are hardy and under proper care will last about 2 weeks.
General Care Guidelines:
- Unpack carefully.
- Trim 1/2 to 1 inch from the end of each stem.
- Place the flowers in a clean vase with clean room temperature water.
- Wet flower heads and foliage daily to prevent dehydration.
- Keep flowers away from heat sources, air conditioning ducts, and out of direct sunlight.
- Ginger and Heliconia should be stored at temperatures above 65 degrees F.
- Bird of Paradise should be stored at temperatures above 45 degrees F.
- The Bird of Paradise produces a lot of nectar which can lead to mold growth on the flower head. The mold can be removed easily by washing the flower with plain warm, soapy water and rinsing with clean water.
- Clean the vase and re-cut the stems every few days or as needed.
