General Care Guidelines:
- Unpack carefully.
- Trim 1/2 to 1 inch from the end of each stem.
- Place the flowers in a clean vase with clean room temperature water.
- Wet flower heads and foliage daily to prevent dehydration.
- Keep flowers away from heat sources, air conditioning ducts, and out of direct sunlight.
- Ginger and Heliconia should be stored at temperatures above 65 degrees F.
- Bird of Paradise should be stored at temperatures above 45 degrees F.
- The Bird of Paradise produces a lot of nectar which can lead to mold growth on the flower head. The mold can be removed easily by washing the flower with plain warm, soapy water and rinsing with clean water.
- Clean the vase and re-cut the stems every few days or as needed.
